How to control Live parameters with Stribe1s via MIDI control.

-First, grab the latest firmware / max-msp software from the Stribe1 product page: http://www.curiousinventor.com/kits/stribe (rev D or later has MIDI out in the max patch).

-enable the analog values to be sent on through to the MIDI out controller (from Max/MSP 1)

-go into Live's preferences, select the MIDI Sync tab, then select "from MaxMSP 1" under input

-Also, turn ON the "from MaxMSP 1"'s remote control

-Click the MIDI map button at the top right to enable the mapping mode. All the controls should get a blue mask.

-Click the control you want to control with a Stribe1.  Finally, touch the Stribe1 you want to control that parameter.  You should see the little text label (1/2) change to whatever controller that particular stribe1 is set to transmit over.  the first number is the channel, the second number is the controller.

-Click the MIDI map button again to disengage the mapping mode.

Hi, thank you for the tutorial and midi update.

I'm not able to see the new midi out section in the new max patch.  everything looks the same as the stribe_basic_control patch.

Would you kindly elaborate on enabling the midi out setting for maxMSP. Or maybe why I can't see the Midi Out portion of the patch. btw I'm just running max runtime..
